About Become Within
Become Within exists because most writing about manifestation falls into one of two camps: either it treats the subject as settled fact (guaranteed outcomes, no room for doubt) or it dismisses it entirely without engaging with where the ideas actually came from. Neither felt honest to us.
This site is an attempt at something in between: a place to explore manifestation, the Law of Attraction, the Law of Assumption and the older spiritual and philosophical traditions they draw from, written by people who take the subject seriously without asking you to switch off your judgment to read it.
What we're trying to do
Cover the ideas, the history, the specific teachers and books involved, and the practices people actually use, as clearly and honestly as we can. Where a claim is a matter of belief, we try to say so. Where there's relevant psychological or scientific research, we bring it in. Where a historical or religious source is being interpreted a particular way, we try to show both the original context and the interpretation, rather than presenting one as the other.
We don't think manifestation is a substitute for medical care, financial advice, or doing the actual work toward a goal. Most of the teachers covered on this site, in one way or another, said the same thing: inner change and outer action go together.
Who writes this
Become Within is written and edited by The Become Within Team. Become Within is written and edited by a small team interested in manifestation traditions, practical psychology and contemplative practice. We're not licensed therapists, clergy or financial advisors, and nothing here should be read as professional advice in any of those areas: see our disclaimer for more on that.
A living project
This is version one of the site. New articles, teacher profiles and practices get added over time, and every piece is reviewed by a person before it's published. Nothing here is generated and posted without someone reading it first. If you notice something inaccurate or think we've gotten a source wrong, we want to know.
